after4ever (1696), Brier, Washington, USA Jun 16, 2008 22. Ahhhh...yeah. This is a ginger beer. Pours dark amber with the thinnest of gray rims and no real head or lace. Sweet candy-like ginger notes hit you almost as soon as you open the bottle. Medium body, soft carb. Not a real stand-out in terms of the look or the body, but there’s plenty of sweet ginger dancing around a nice mild caramel/brown bread malt base to keep you entertained. Very likable, if not very sessionable.
daknole (644), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 bottle from brewdad. orange/gold pour. Aromas of soap and ginger. Flavor is GINGER and more GINGER. Interesting, but not great. Loved to try such a unique beer, but i wouldnt drink again. riversideAK (1561), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 11, 2008 Fresh ginger aroma on top of a golden orange beer. Nice strong ginger flavors with some bready malt sweetness. Pretty refreshing and interesting brew. I thought it was reminiscent of a ginger soda in a way. I liked it. 1_2many (194), Ohio, USA Aug 3, 2008 Not really fantastic but very different. Basically sweet with ginger throughout. This reminds me of ginger soda if you’ve ever had it. Not much of a session unless you love ginger, but a good experience. Bigmmartin (185), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 31, 2008 Bottle from daknole. Hazy orange with a thick fizzy head that immediately disappears. The aroma is...um... ginger! It’s completely ginger and I can’t really pick up on anything else. Flavor is....yeah...ginger. That’s about it. If you enjoy sucking on ginger roots, you will probably pass out from euphoria when drinking this beer. If it’s not your favorite aroma and flavor on earth, chances are it won’t be the most enjoyable beer you’ve ever experienced. There is a small note of the mandarin oranges as well, but again...mostly dominated by ginger. Definitely a unique beer, so it’s refreshing to try something so different. SuzyGreenberg (900), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 8, 2008 22 oz. bottle - pours clear and burnt orange with almost a shade of green mixed in; ginger very obvious and is the primary aroma; yeast and lemon also mixed in; ginger definitely packs a zing; also some lemon and citrus; has a soda feel to it and per their MO, very unique
