May 7, 2008 Slightly hazy chestnut colour. Nutty aroma with something a little strange - pandan leaf I’m assuming. Full-bodied for a brown. Great nutty flavour. Some quality depth in the malt, too.

May 24, 2008 Bottle thanks to 5000: Pours a transparent dark copper brown with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet toasty caramel malts with some mild leafy notes. Starts lightly sweet and sugary with some fresh nutty notes and a touch of bitterness before a sweet finish. An interesting and well-balanced brown ale.

Apr 5, 2008 Bottle... GIABMISGFAB... This beer rocks!... Clear, dark caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose offers a caramelized foundation with sweet, rich notes of roasted almonds, hazelnuts and milk chocolate. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Sweet, nutty flavor... richest brown ale I’ve ever tasted. Finishes like it began; sweet and nutty. Kudos to Beershine and Oakes for hauling this world class brown ale to the island with them!
