Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer and my expectations where met.

Bottle, thanks to alexanderj. Orange pour with white head. Earthy malt and hop aroma, some lemon and grass. Flavor is the same, sorta high carbonation, earthy malt, some herbal and grassy hops. A little too medicinal for my taste, but decent overall.

Bottle; poured a hazy copper/orange color with not much head. Aroma is very earthy, grassy, grapefruit and citrus; a bit of caramel. Flavor was fairly standard for the style; did not have great, or a lot of flavor. Fairly bitter, but not in a detracting way. Still, this was a pretty solid beer overall.

Bottle: Cloudy copper color with an off-white head that never ceases covering the sides of the glass with lacing. It has a wonderful hoppy aroma of grapefruit and other floral notes. A monster hop tastes fllows with fresh, floral tastes, bitterness, but not too bitter. It also isn’t too syruppy sweet like many 2 IPA’s. I think it has a well-balanced taste, not overly hard core bitter (which I don’t necessarily mind), but bitter enough and refreshing. It has tons of carbonation and isn’t too thick on the feel. This is a great 2 IPA!

650 ml bottle courtesy of ditmier. Thanks Eric. Pours a cloudy copper-brass color with a big rocky white head that has great retention and lacing. The aroma is soft with ctirus, sweet malts and buttery yeast. The flavor is that of a citrus hop monster, with grapefruit, oranges, pine, caramel, lantana blooms and some herbs. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The finish is long with lingering biters. Overall: A very potently flavored DIPA, not for the casual IPA drinker, but thats not me; I loved it.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Norm’s, 8/6/09

Aroma: Sweet and citrusy, grapefruit, orange, mild spice, honey
Appearance: Hazy amber-orange color, two fingers of creamy white head, glass covering lacing
Flavor: Strong citrus hops flavor, some nice bitterness, and a bit of caramel malts as well
Palate: Nice mouthfeel, some stickiness, medium body, no burn (8% is very well hidden)
Overall Impression: My first rating from Idaho! (I feel like I’ve had a beer from Laughing Dog before, but I’ve never rated one.) This was a nice beer, a bit of a subdued IIPA as far as being only 8%, but tasty. I liked it, and my small qualm with this one would be with something a bit odd that distracted from the taste and kept this beer from being a few tenths of a point higher (in the taste and overall impression categories) for me.

Pours amber with a lasting white head. Smells of citrus and yeasty. Tastes of sweet citrus, some grapefruit, some peppery splashes, caramel and a bitter, spicy finish. Surprising and good.
