Bottle... Poured a dark brownish-orange with an off-white head. Roasty, nutty, buttery malts on the nose. Not as bold as I would like my winter brews, but not at bad brew all together. Dominant cocoa influenced hops with a light, highly drinkable palate. A little dryness from the hops but far from bitter as there was a strong bit of spices to counter it. Dark fruits and malts in the finish.

Fragrant mix of spices, hops and malts, pretty variegated. Dark mahogany w/ khaki head that endures. But the flavor is weird, over-spiced and astringent, emphasized by how the hops clash with it, not much malt gets through, bitter (int he spice not hop sense) finish.

From a 12 oz bottle this poured a hazy dark red to brown color with nice tan head and very sticky lacing. nose of ripe fruit and some hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is also mostly of ripe fruit and there is some bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable.

Starts dark with a bitter opening followed by spices and a sweet fruit ending with a slight bitter after taste. Pours a nice head and is redish brown in color. I would like a little more spice and less of the bitterness.

Bottle thanks to jake65. Dark ruddy red with two big fingers of light tan head. Big earthy spicy hop aroma. Over caramel, pit fruits, toffee. Taste is more dark fruits, toffee, and caramel sweetness with a very grassy English hop bitter finish.

An OK ESA via trade with Chewy. Thanks man Aroma was good. There was a strong spiciness to it with a heavy toffee and earthy presence. Pour was a nice murky dark brown with a one finger light tan head. Taste was very thin with not much flavor in the beginning and just this spicy finish. The toffee comes out as it warms. Nice carbonation. Don’t really care for English style beers but always glad to try them.

Bottle. Pours brownish caramel with off-tan head. Nose is caramel, mild fruit, hops, smoke. Tastes malty, earthy, with figgy fruit, mild hops, caramel, and mild x-mas spice.

A decent winter beer. Fairly bitter beer. Sweet malts easily countered by strong earthy/vegetiony hop.
