Commercial Description:
Our Crème Ale is a traditional crème ale with both ale and lager yeast, this gives us the creamy smoothness of an ale with a nice dry crisp finish. The Creme Ale is great on hot summer days.

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours clear gold with nice white head. The aroma is full of grains and floral hops, some lemony citrus and some hay too. Very nice. The taste begins with a pulse of peanut butter then moving toward fresh grains, floral hops and a sting of lemon like acidity for added interest and balance. I love the taste of this.

Bottle. Sweet and bubbly sugar and apple juice nose, well, more like cheap champagne. Bright, clear yellow-golden body with a loud, fizzy white head. Taste is dryish and very effervescent, light yeast and sour metallic notes. Crisp medium body. Husky, grainy, bright hops really firm pale malts (and yes, I have tasted these before in Aussie beers). Can’t bear to finish this by itself, but likely would be very good with food.

Bottle from Canal’s in Lawrencevile. Hazy banana yellow under a firm white head with lots of lacing. Yeasty, mildly spicy aroma. Very tart. Some malt and toasted biscuit in there as well. Nothing special in the texture but not too thin. Pretty dry finish. Either a bad batch with some bottling line contamination or could be an intentional blend of a Flemish Sour and a Pale Ale. Didn’t work for me.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with ditmier. I’ll begin by saying this beer reminds me much more of a summer ale than it does a cream ale. With that said, pours a hazy yellow gold with a large white head that lingers until mid-glass and leaves a network of large lace patches. Pleasant aroma of lemon, orange, honey and caramel. The flavor is similar with the same lemon, orange, honey and caramel. Not really all that bitter at the finish, but not as smooth as I would expect from a cream ale either. Refreshing and an easy drinker.

Maybe because I just reffed 3 soccer games in the hot sun but this beer really did it for me. Nice looking cloudy yellow with a nice lacing head. Aroma of lemon, orange, malt. Ice cold flavor was sour with a great dry finish and wonderful after taste. Great summer beer.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of jcwattsrugger Richmond RB Gathering. Light adjunct graininess with caramel and light fruitiness. Clear light straw with rocky white head. Spicy hop notes over mild graininess.. Very clean with a spicy almost peppery hop bitterness in the finish. Quite drinkable.
