Commercial Description:
Our Crème Ale is a traditional crème ale with both ale and lager yeast, this gives us the creamy smoothness of an ale with a nice dry crisp finish. The Creme Ale is great on hot summer days.

Light hazy amber. Light floral/fruity hoppiness on the nose. Fresh pale malt body with bright floral hop character. Well-integrated...even a bit of creaminess.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with jake65 (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear golden color with a large sized head. Aromas of lots of grains, very husky, somewhat earthy, and salty. Tastes of grains and sweet malts.

Pours a hazy amber with a huge white head that sticks around. Smells of fruit, some light malt, grassy. Tastes spicy with lightly dry malt and some nice hints of perfumy hops. Great, full bodied finish with some spicy hints and peppery splashes. Excellent!

Hazed amber color with moderate off-white head. Aromas of creamed peas. Big DMS problem detected. Unfortunately the creamed peas and vegetables carry into the flavors. I found this unworthy of my time on vacation and found the lightly sour beverage rinsing out my sisters kitchen sink drain.

Bottle: Picked this up at Huckleberry’s in Spokane, WA. Pours a pellucid copper color, thick creamy white head and tons of lacing. The nose is light but contains a light fresh hop note and some sweet toasty malts, no husk to speak of, nice! The flavor is creamy (no pun) with a nice light fresh hoppiness and a full malty, biscuity body. Finishes long and drawn out, just the thing to quench the fire of the hot chihuahua. Could it be the premium australian malts? Who knows?!

Mineral character is present along with earthy, and floral hops in the nose. Lightly hazy golden body is topped by a low white large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover with a bit of lacing. Husky and grainy and overly mineral flavour up front with floral character in the aftertaste. Bitterness is quite strong and very sharp and tangy. Other than a light sweetness there is little malt character. Very dry, astringent and puckering with fair carbonation. Not sure if I just got a bad bottle but this really isn’t working for me. Snifter. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (Bottleworks, Aug-08).
