Reminds me of the aroma of many a double IPA I have had. Pours a dark amber color with almost no head. Grainy malt flavor with a bit of fruit mid palate giving way to a bitter hop finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Funky caramel apple aroma sits atop a mostly clear, reddish amber ale with a nice and thick, light tan head. Lots of caramel in the mouth, a little barnyard twang, some sour green apples, and slight bitterness at the swallow. Velvety mouthfeel, mildly rich. A pretty nice quaff. Thanks André 5000.
