Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of sweet malt, vegetables. Tastes earthy with some chewable vitamin hints. Finish is earthy.

Funky caramel apple aroma sits atop a mostly clear, reddish amber ale with a nice and thick, light tan head. Lots of caramel in the mouth, a little barnyard twang, some sour green apples, and slight bitterness at the swallow. Velvety mouthfeel, mildly rich. A pretty nice quaff. Thanks André 5000.

22oz bottle, thanks to suzygreenberg for this great extra! pours hazy copper with off white head. a nice toffee and nutty malty aroma. flavors are a bit caramelly and toasted biscuit. goes down easy and a good example of the style.

Sample tray. Reddish amber. Light froth. Sweet malt nose; caramel and bread. A bit fizzy. Doesn’t quite work for me. Couldn’t quite place the flavour.

22 oz. bottle - pours clear and reddish brown; cream colored head quickly fades; aromas of sweet malts and a little sour apples; drinks thin and crisp with a slight lingering maltiness; decent

22 oz. bomber. Smooth, clear amber pour, with a smallish head. Sweet, malty, slightly herbal nose is quite prominent. Just the right amount of bite on the tongue to balance the malts, a light citrus tang all the way down. This is a really nice late winter/early spring brew.

Smells earthy like mushrooms, truffles, and roast beef. Nice. Spiky mouthfeel. Good, substantial and well-structured palate. Like old worn velvet: not as soft as it could be but still noble. Earthy, dark flavors like mushroom sauce or broth. Good bittering notes. Mature.

Dark amber with a nice frothy head. Aroma of sweet toffee malt with some citrus hops in the back. The flavor is the same. Toffee, some floral and citrus hops, and a good amount of English Malt sweetness. Finishes mildly bitter and somewhat crisp. Was nothing really all that special, but it was nice.
