Aroma of pineapple, apricot, animal crackers, and caramel. Flavor of hops (grapefruit, peach, pineapple) and freshly baked biscuits round out a nice balance. Capa (975), Yokosuka, Japan
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2008 Thanks to BückDich for the bottle. Glistening red with a off-white head. Intense citrus, floral, orange, and fresh fruit aroma. Flavor follows the same path as the aroma with a caramel backbone holding up the bitter, hoppy finish. Very enjoyable but for a IIPA it lacks a bit of intensity. TimE (1301), Tokyo, Japan
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Fairly straight forward IIPA, with a huge caramel backbone and lots of citrusy hops, chewy mouth and moderate bitterness. Very surprised it was 10%. Well made, but it just doesn’t go anywhere special. Swalden28 (1468), McKinney, Texas, USA

Poured a hazy orange/amber with off-white head, very good retention, nice looking beer. Aroma is great hoppy pineapple and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet, pineapple combined with very nice yeasty-fruit esters, with a nice hoopy bitter. Full body with low-medium carbonation but the citris feel makes up for lack of carbonation which makes this feel very nice. I really like this IIPA!!!! raphael (414), Portland, Oregon, USA

Medium amber, almost clear, flat out of the tap and in the mouth. a hop harshness almost swept aside by the sweet flux of caramel & peaches. this brew walks the convergence of IIPA, strong ale & barley wine. interesting mix of pieces and dynamics, but just missing somewhere in complexity and balance JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2008 Amber color with a medium head. Aroma is dominated by sweet and pine/citrus hops. Flavor started out nicely with big citrusy/floral/piney hops that are quite sticky and good, but the sugary tastes in this one start to wreck the experience. Good, but too sugary/malty. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 Hazy amber with a fleeting head. Good aroma is sweet caramel and citrusy, spicy hops. Full bodied and very smooth. Heavy flavors of candied malts and sappy hops slaps your palate, definitely a sipper here. Unique for a good Imperial IPA in that the 10% is noticeable but doesn’t get in the way, enjoyed this one. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA
