Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, no head. Only slight grapefruit aroma. Huge bodied with clean, hard mouthfeel. Intensely hoppy - piney and grapefruity. Powerful resiny bitterness. Extremely harsh and off balance.

Bottle from Ditmier, thanks! Pours a nice copper color with a rambunctious offwhite head. Nose is strongly candied cherries and strawberries from afar and resiny hops up close. Largely piney. Some caramel malts come through as well in the nose. On taste, the hops get a little bit obscured by the sweet malts. Definite Munich coming through and some caramel malt, strong alcohol warmth as well. Strong beer, this one, though could have used something more aggressive. Decent.

Bottle. This IPA is balanced without being boring. Almost as much malt as hops makes it really interesting. Sweet caramel meets fruity hops. Tiny smokeiness. More complexity for every sip.

Draft. Pours cloudt coppery with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is resiny piney hops, tangerine, pineapple, caramel malt. Solid malt bill in the flavor matched by huge hops, giving piney, tangeriney, and pineapple flavors. Well hidden heat and solid complexity. This one is very good, and I can’t wait to snare a bottle somewhere.

Pours out of the bottle an amber orange. Smells are sweet, maybe fresh cut grass, not a lot in the way of hops. First taste is sweet, really taste the hops, then some alcohol burn and the hops really linger. I’m really getting into this beer right now. Thank you bartender may I have another? Cheers.

Bomber coutesy of summer santa 09, Buckeyeboy. Big dry resin pine aroma that was good on the sniffer. Orange body with big off white foamy head head. Chuncks of the foam were stickying on glass after beer was finished. Chewy citrus flavor with medium amount of sweetener and big dose of dry bitterness on the finish. Good double IPA. Thanks Santa.

22oz from ditmeier - thanks, Eric! Cloudy pale amber pour with modest carbonation and a very soft creamy head. Sharp yeasty notes combine with grassy hops in the aroma. Still hot to taste, but the beer strikes me as fairly balanced overall, with a bready malt foundation that complements the bitter flavors pretty nicely. Slight woodiness seems to emerge as part of the malts, but that may be a bit of age on this one. Pretty enjoyable.
