Super sweet caramel smell from the off white head and hazy cloudy orange pour. Mouthfeel is huge...a big round malty sweet thick syrupy glob of hops, sugarcane, biscuis soaked in gin, rye, pumpernickel....not an aggressive IPA--but certainly intense. Big on flavour, kind of light on the finish--but well made and would certainly drink again.

Sep 29, 2008 had on tap from collins pub in seattle before mariners game. my notes: amber brown - small offwhite head - aroma of grapefruit candy caramel floral - taste cherry candy tingly alcohol fantastic medium texture good balance - grass - finish long but not all that bitter - really like this one. K8.5

Sep 13, 2008 Dark yellow with foamy head. This is a big hoppy melange with malt. The bitterness is not acidic but it is a bitter mouthfeel. Yes its a very decent DIPA. 43rd or 44th state.Above average mouthfeel. Thanks SuzyGreenberg.

Sep 13, 2008 22oz courtesy of RiversideAK secret Santa.. Thanks a ton... WOW this is just huge, pounds you in the face with hops and i mean that in a good way, very awesome to drink.. loads of hop flavor and tons of bitterness thoroughly enjoyable.

Sep 8, 2008 Bottle… RBSG ‘08… Clear golden/orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Fruity, black tea aroma. Full-bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet, fruity flavor is decently bittered to prevent cloying. Lightly acidic as well. Lengthy, tangy finish.

Sep 7, 2008 After drinking the regular IPA, I had such high hopes. Only a European yeast could kill a beer with such potential for me.
