The aroma is fairly complex with pine, resin, a bit of grass, perfumy floral hops and a bit of mild roasted malts. The taste is full crystal malts and mildly roasted malts moving into grapefruit hop bitterness, a touch of pine, resin and floral hop notes. Very nice stuff. bu11zeye (5675), Frisco, Texas, USA

Pours dark brown with beige head.
Aroma is hoppy, very floral with citrus notes and a light oak nose.
Taste, bitter hops, light malts. Finish was rather bitter. Beer is very enjoyable and unique. LinusStick (1855), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 31, 2008 A delicious and different IPA. Aroma was nice. Strong bitter citrus hops leaning on grapefruit. Pour was a nice deep dark amber with a 3 finger near tan head. Taste was very bitter with grapefruit dominating and a very sour drying aftertaste. Nice carbonation. The mouth and throat are bone dry after swallowing- I love sour beers so this was good but like Captain Cougar said, I think something may have been off. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Bottle: Pours a mostly opaque with a very large, overcarbonated clingy froth of beige head. Aroma, unfortunately, has strong notes of sauerkraut and some faint dark roasted malts. Body starts effervescent and semi-tart with a touch of dark caramel and roasted malts, before a drier, more bitter finish Sadly, the citrusy hops are overshadowed by a bad infection. Looks like I must’ve gotten a bad bottle, since no one else seems to note any of these problems. kiefdog (1645), Tampa, Florida, USA

Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.
