Pours a nice dark brown color, not much carbonation, nice one-finger creamy off-white head, which does leave some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with some malts, sour/tangy, metalic, very slight roastyness, with some citrus/grapefruit. The taste is hoppy, with some malts, sour/tangy, metalic, some roastyness, and some citrus/grapefruit. Medium body. Drinkable, but there is a strange sourness/metalic taste to this brew.

Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a medium bubbly light tan head that laced. Aroma of fresh hops, toasted malt, chocolate, lightcaramel and pine. Flavor is all hops up front, pine resin, grapefruit, caramel, chocolate...loads of hop flavor. BrownDogBeer (50), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2008 22 oz bomber. Pour dark brown with a tan head that stayed for a while. Very heavy malt flavor. Medium body with a slight hop taste that lingers with a slight coffee/ bittersweet chocolate taste. Not as much hop taste as a typical IPA. Just enough to cover the malt. It did make for a nice looking pour though, and obviously an amazing name and label. Ughsmash (4037), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Bomber. Poured iced tea brown with a lovely cap of beige head. The aroma picked up some odd notes of sour barley and caramel with some grassy and piney hoppage around.. smelled off. The flavor confirmed my fears by providing a sticky, sour mess with vinegar and oaky notes all over the place.. there was some caramel providing some body, but it didn’t accomplish much under the veil of the sourness.. same goes for the hoppage, which just managed to bitter up the sourness. Again sour on the palate and not at all pleasant.. I feel ya Ken. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Pours a dark reddish brown, not quite black with a huge head that sticks around for awhile. Nose is toffee, roasted grains and dark fruit. Taste is roasted grains, earthy hops, and a sour finish/aftertaste. THink this is infected a bit. darn1207 (569), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
