Maybe a little more acidic than most IPAs, but thats about it. Lots of hop flavor, but not overly bitter. Well balance, even though it was mostly hops and not much malt at all. There was just a ton of different hop levels present.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, medium orange with an average to large, off-white head that mostly diminished, but kept a fair sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma was light malt, moderate grapefruit hops and more orange hops. The initial flavor was sweet and slightly bitter; while the finish was sweet, slightly acidic and lightly bitter. There was orangey citrus hops, a little malt, grapefruit and lemon hops and a tiny amount of alcohol. Each fruit flavor was balanced by that fruit’s bitter hop taste. The light to medium body was slightly syrupy and then dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish. Rciesla (3720), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Complex fruity nose, just super hoppy, with a tiny bit of resin and some really great mingling of the oils. Rich clear golden with a lacing, creamy white head. Taste is very strongly bitter with some tingling mineral water pushing the caramel way down the bottom. Some crisp hop bite but a little too much sharp crystal malt. Strong pine. Tongue numbed very early on. Light earthy and herbal tones, and a little soap. Full, almost too-full body. Difficult but nice. JPDIPSO (4925), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Hazy light amber color with a rocky beige head. Dough and citric aromas. Grain, dough, grapefruit zest and earthy pine aromas. Wood and grain flavors as well. Seems to dry, without enough malt to backup the hops. beerbill (1965), Laurel, New York, USA

Pours a hazy orange gold with a moderate yellow-white head that lasted through two-thirds of the glass and left large patches of lace. Pleasant aroma of oranges, grapefruit and caramel. The flavor is caramel with some lightly resinous pine followed by moderate grapefruit bitterness. There is some fruitiness with the bitterness, which I liked. Enjoyable! jcwattsrugger (5532), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Looked nice, amber with a good sized fluffy head that stayed around. Nicely balance flavor with malts up front and a hop bitterness at the back end. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA
