Slightly cloudy copper-orange with a thin soapy white head. Little bit of an alcoholic floral grapefruit hop aroma with some sweetness. Finish had a fresh grapefruity taste, but was subdued overall and never really let loose on my taste buds. Decent hop start, but never really followed through. illinismitty (1810), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 Updated: Aug 30, 2007Bottle from Bottleworks in Seattle, WA. Pours a clear amber with a retentive off white head. Aroma of carmel malts, lots fruity esters, and floral hops. Medium bodied with medium-soft carbonation and British texture. Initial flavor of caramel and toffee malt flavors, somewhat British in character. Very subtle and muted hop bitterness mid palate, with some citrus notes. Finish is semi-dry and herbal with some hints of tea, as well as some slight odd sourness. This makes me think of Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Poured a clear amber color with a decent off-white head. The aroma let me down after reading some ratings and picking this beer to drink over another. The hops I get are very muted and covered by a sweet and starting to age malt. The hops that linger in the background are citrusy but barely poke through. The flavor starts malty and has some mild hops finishing it out. Semi-dry finish with a light bitterness. Something tastes a little off. jcr (1194), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2007 This IPA presents a nice balance between its foward hop presence and its malty backbone, though I could see how some could complain about it being too sweet. Amber pour and a light white head. The aroma is citrusy, presenting notes of grapefruit and orange. Hints of pine and caramel. The flavor is moderately to heavily bitter and moderately sweet. Dry, bitter finish. Medium body, sticky texture, comfortable carbonation. Altogether a very nice IPA. Eckato (90), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA

Some one described it as sexy..and it is. Aroma is mild..pine...looking for a more citrus scent that is not there. Although this smells very clean. Wonderful flavor, very balanced and refreshing. No over powering citrus...just right. This is a very nice IPA. sloth (1687), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Pours a tight beaded offwhite head with fair retention and some nice clingy lace. Color is amber orange with a light haze. Nose is bready malts with light spicey hop notes, a bit earthy and lightly citrusy. Body is medium, prickly carbonation on the palate. Lightly sweet malts backed by a fair amount of citrusy hopping, a touch tropcal, melony, grassy and fruity. Finish is lightly sweet but balanced with a nice hop bite. An enjoyable IPA, easy drinkin. Thanks a ton Jake! jdp (54), Texas, USA

Nice amber/orange color, good white to slightly off-white head. Nice malt flavor and good hop bite. Very clean flavors, nice and fresh. the hop flavor was top notch (piney, bit of grapefruit/citrus and herbs). Hop flavor stays there for a bit. Very good IPA. Reminds me of an IPA old Bert Grant (RIP) made in Yakima. Dickinsonbeer (3563), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 11, 2007 bottle as bonus from Indiana Red. Thanks Ken! Pours a hazy orange with a thin lasting white head and nice lace. Aroma is initially floral and reminds me of willamette, but as it warms, sticky grapefruit and piney NW hops come through pretty nice. Light flavor of caramelly and bready malts, but is taken over by some citrus and resinous hops and even has some minty qualities. Moderate bitterness in the end.
