Wow, this is a wonderful, big citrusy and hoppy brew in the true spirit of NW USA IPAs ... grapefruity, resin and sticking to my gullet. This is awesome with a capital A. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 5, 2007 on Tap at the brewery:
light golden copper color somewhat cloudy with a huge piney/citrusy hop nose, good carbonation with a nice long lasting head, great lacing all the way to the bottom of the glass. I have been trying all of this brewerys beers with my brother and can say I have yet to have a bad one I see a post that someone had a bad experience must have been a bad tap or bottle as this brewery has turned out nothing but good brews in my opinion.as a side note I have succumbed to the hop side and now cannot get away from them Crit (2409), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

Water start, odd bitterness in finish. Has great lace, but is thin and had no balance. Poor effort BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2007 A nice basic IPA. Clear copper colour with a light, earthy hop, and pine aroma. Light to medium bodied with a creamy texture, featuring a caramel malt body and underlying earthy hop flavours. Drier finishes makes this an easy to drink IPA. skoisirius (584), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2006 12 oz bottle into a Shaker glass. Pours a light orange with golden hints with a foamy white head. Aroma brings a fairly piney with a bit of flowery zest to it. A small amount of malt is present on the nose. The taste brings a lot of the same...starts with straightforward pine hop with a bit of citrus. Malts then come in during the body and have a bit of sweet caramel notes to them. Ending with a softer bitter note than I thought, I was fairly impressed. A good, easy, solid example of a Northwestern IPA.
