Lightly bitter with citrus, grapefruit. A nice drinking ipa, with better than average hop flavor. Malt is secondary for this beer but there is enough there to complement the hops. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2009 [Bottle] shared by Skyview. Pours a hazy caramel with a small off white head. Aroma is mostly biscuity malt with a touch of floral hops and a bit of caramel. Flavor is subdued floral and a touch of citric hops, with more malts. This probably would have been much better fresh, as most of the hops had dissipated. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA

Aroma of light malt and strong hop profiles. Taste is similar to the aroma with a little less malt. Very solid. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Thanks to Skyview. Copper color with no head. Aroma of biscuit and a bit of citrus. Much the same in the flavor. Some more floral hop notes than citrus and pine. Caramelly. Definitely more like a strong amber after some aging, but quite nice. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Picked up a 2007 vintage single 22-oz bomber from Bottleworks in Seattle, WA. Pours a hazy brown amber brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of powdered caramel malt, some grapefruit, tangerines, a hint of orange zest and some biscuit. Taste is medium bodied, citrusy, with flavors of aged caramel malt, some grapefruit, orange zest and mild herbs. Finish has a nice citrus bitterness that slowly disappears. The extra year aging did some nice work on this IPA. captaincass (45), Everson, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear amber, rocky head. Striking perfumy grapefruity aroma with doughy malt underneath. Medium sweet with really solid makty body. Chewy and potent with massive hop rate and bitterness. Very well crafted IPA on the heavier side of the spectre. Svesse (2650), Hässelby, Sweden
