| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Pours ruby with a thin off white head. Sweet caramel and hop aroma. Flavor is rather sweet, nice malts going on. Seems as though the hops may have faded a bit, but some juicy citrus still remains. Finishes slightly bitter to offset the sweet, decent carbonation. I really liked this one even though I think it is not quite what it was supposed to be. I would like another to see if this was fresh or not, and wouldn’t mind a few more aged ones if it brings out this flavor! Thanks to jake65 for this one, another great beer from a great trader! imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA

Aromas of caramel, pine, and a small amount of citrus. Flavors of pine, resin, and a nice floral finish. Pretty nice IPA imo. Great flavor with a nice smooth finish. troopie (895), USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2008 Bottle. Lekker hoppy and piney aroma. Poured orange gold with moderate white head. Full hoppy flavour with lekker maltiness. Fast disappearing finish, doesn’t linger. A very worthy IPA kramer (2482), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2008 12 oz bottle, Pours a clear deep copper body under a one finger frothy off-white head that settled to a thin wispy partial covering. The nose on this just smells wonderfully fresh. Lots and lots of citrusy hops and a lighter compliment of pine resin over a slightly sweet smelling toasted malt base. The flavor is very hoppy up front, but fades to a slightly ashy bitterness towards the finish that seems a little harsh. A fairly stout malt base keeps the hops pretty well in check though. Long lingering bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy forced carbonation, maybe a touch sticky on the finish. Overall this is a pretty solid middle of the road IPA. I’d drink this again. raphael (419), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2008 First impressions—resiny flavor, oily on the tongue, hops raspy but not overly harsh, a slight metallic presence blurred by the malt, which expresses more as a weight than sweetness. winter ipa, with definite warming. clear yellow approaching amber, not much of a head, aromas of pine, orange peel, something I cant define, but it all fits together. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2008 Thanks BuckeyeBoy! Sticky resiny hops and a hefty malt backbone. Sticky sweet, but balanced with pretty big hops. Apparently Idaho has some coastline that I don’t know about, because this is a west coast IPA. Some pine and strong tobacco in the finish. The warmer it gets, the more malt forward i find this to be. Bitterness could be significantly bigger, as could hops, but it still works well as a beer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Pours almost auburn with a thin oily looking head. Has some grapefruit in the aroma, pretty strongly Cascade aroma. Some bitter grapefruit flavors accompanied by some toasty caramel malts. Not as bitter as I would have expected from the aroma, but good nonetheless. A nice IPA.
