Porus a hazy deep gold with lively carbonation and a moderate fizzy head. Aroma is lightly hoppy with c hops, stale pale malts, crackery with hints of DMS and acealdehyde. Bland flavor with some paper, light pale malts, some dull citrus and lemony hops- tangy and light piney bitterness. Mouthfeel is a bit fizzy. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Orange-yellow-amber color with a fine head. Entertaining malty aroma -- wow this is another fairly big hoppy brew. If I hadn’t had the others first, this would’ve been tops, but the hits keep coming at Laughing Dog. (#2904, 5/17/2007) IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2007 Bottle Pours a clear amber with a decent sized creamy dense light tan head. Rather dark and robust looking for a Pale. Nice balance of hops and malts in the aroma with a bit of wet paper. Malt flavor is a bit dark and the hops are quite bitter but not very flavorfull. Overall, bitter and woody for the style.
Not bad though. kegbeerchick (5), Spokane, Washington, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Best pale on the market. Clean and crisp with a hop taste that lingers on your pallet. Truly a great pale. Wish more pales had this fine taste DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Tastes hoppy and citric, with a firm caramel malt base. Finishes crisp and hoppy, with balancing malt. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2006 Heavy caramel aroma with a lemony-marmelade hoppiness; pours with a deep amber, well carbonated body under a quickly dissipating, millimeter thick head; sweet, toasty and biscuity carmelized maltiness followed by a mild, quick, inadequate bitterness that’s a little piney and lemony; very light chocolate notes; a touch of earthiness; the bitterness builds in the tail end. Not so bad.
