12oz bottle acquired in trade with jake65 (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of stronger floral, citrus, and toasted grains. Tastes of citrus, floral, and caramel.

12oz bottle-pours a rich light tan head and copper/amber color. Aroma is citrus-orange/some herbal-tea hops, sweet medium malt-honey. Taste isherbal-tea, citrus-orange/resin hops, sweet medium malt-honey, a bit too herbal for my taste. Soft carbonation.

Pours copper with a rocky white head. Another diacetyl bomb with some lemony hints on the nose. Tastes of sweet malt with some hints of citrus, but diacetyl overwhelms this one. Seems to be a pattern here.

Bottle: Pours a pellucid copper amber color with a large retentive white puffy head, very nice looking. The aroma is lightly vegetal with a sweet floral hop nose along with a rich caramel undertone along with the other rich malts. The flavor is lightly bitter with a rich smooth body, lightly sweet and caramelly. Very focused in on the malts with a light balanced bitterness and hop flavor. Finish is smooth and creamy, very tasty pale ale I must say.

HAzy coppery gold pour. Aroma of lemongrassy malt, hops, citrus. Tastes hoppy and citric, with a firm caramel malt base. Finishes crisp and hoppy, with balancing malt.

Bottled. Poured clear, medium orange with a nice cap of white head. The aroma picked up toffee and caramel maltage with spicy floral, citrus, and light fruity hops accenting.. quasi-sweet overall and well-balanced. The flavor had more of the toffee and some pale bready malts at the core, again with spicy floral and citrusy bitterness around.. warmth brought out mild oxidation.. tacky on the finish with lingering bitterness and warmth. Medium-bodied with OK balance on the palate.. a bit hotter than it should’ve been on the back.. decent one.

Sampled 10/23/2008. This pale ale pours a orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts and citrusy. A medium bodied pale ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are grapefruity and floral. There is some fruitiness that I wasn’t expecting. It kind of sweet and tastes like some berry of some kind, possibly huckleberry? Kind of weird, but does not detract too much from the beer overall. Lively carbonation. Decent balance. The mouthfeel is full and round. The finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Another 10 oz draft at the brewery taproom (this place is awesome!). Orange-yellow-amber color with a fine head. Entertaining malty aroma -- wow this is another fairly big hoppy brew. If I hadn’t had the others first, this would’ve been tops, but the hits keep coming at Laughing Dog. (#2904, 5/17/2007)
