Commercial Description:
I got a brew you can’t refuse. The Dogfather is one of the biggest brew we have ever made, weighing in a 10.85% alcohol. 7 malts and 4 hops give it a complex flavor profile. Over 11 month in the making some of the DogFather has been barrel aged. This is a very limited release with only 40 keg equivalents in draft and only 300 case made.

courtesy of ibrew2or3 Pours black, tan head, light golden lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and light bittering hops. Taste, roasted malts, coffee is just well present, light bitter chocolate and hops in the finish

2008 from a 22 oz bottle. What a great beer! Tried it in a tasting with Full Sail Imperial Porter and Pike Entire and it was the clear winner. Coffee and chocolate on the nose with some fruit thrown in for good measure. Nice mouthfeel with espresso and bitter chocolate flavors and slight bitter finish. Excellent!

Bottle shared by MaxxDaddy. Aroma has alcohol, licorice, bitter black malts. Creamy flavor, charcoal, lots of carbonic acid, bitter roast. Tough to drink.

Aroma: Huge dark malt aroma with chocolate and coffee lingering.
Appearance: Black in color, clear (if you can see through black) with a thin head.
Flavor: Big Flavor. The Chocolate and coffee comes through this is not your small Impy this grows on you.
Palate: Dry coffee finish, with a good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Great brew this was a tasty brew. I wish I had a few bottles of this to store for the long run.

Thanks to Skyview for this one. Roasted malt. Considerable hops. Black. Thick and heavy on the palate. The hops work well. There are not many imperial stouts like this and it is very well done.

Black with a frothy light brown head. Nice blackened malt, sweet dark pit fruit aromas. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Deep roasty black malt flavor with sweet prune pit fruits to balance. Simple, but very good.

[Bottle] shared at Skyview’s Lex/Larp Cellars Farewell. Pours black with a large tan head. Aroma is harsh roasted malts, tar, and fusel alcohols. Flavor is really harsh, with lots of asphalt, charcoal, and bitter chocolate. Astringent mouthfeel.

Nice nose of roasted and burnt malts, some sweet bourbon notes are extremely light but can be picked up when it warms. Bitter chocolate too perhaps. Pours almost black with a really nice meringue brown head that sits atop the beer for ever. Lots of roast and coffee notes in the initial flavors. Earth and burnt malts follow along with some underlying sweetness that is somewhat like vanilla from the touch of barrel aging. Lots of dry earthy roast and bitterness lingers in the finish. Nice enjoyable sipper.
