Commercial Description:
I got a brew you can’t refuse. The Dogfather is one of the biggest brew we have ever made, weighing in a 10.85% alcohol. 7 malts and 4 hops give it a complex flavor profile. Over 11 month in the making some of the DogFather has been barrel aged. This is a very limited release with only 40 keg equivalents in draft and only 300 case made.

22oz bottle. Medium brown head atop black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, roast, dark chocolate, some grapefruit/earthy, coffee, alcohol, wood/smoke, light soy, vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, some earthy/grapefruit, roast, light vanilla, wood smoke. Smooth medium-full body, low carbonation, goes down quite easily given how big it is.

Courtesy of After4ever, thanks Tom. It is pitch black with a dark brow, huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, light ashes, wood and citrus. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, chocolate, light licorice, dark fruit, light soy sauce/salt, wood, citrus and the finish has a dry, roasted bitterness. It is very nice indeed.

Pours an opaque black with a large, frothy light brown head. Aroma of sweet caramel, molasses and roasty dark malts with a hint of licorice. Starts with an effervescent body giving way to a sticky, sweet, roasty dark chocolate and bitter hoppy flavor before a bittersweet mocha finish. Definitely a palate coater and had pretty good complexity, but could use a little less roasty bitterness.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells of chocolate, some spice, peppery/ Tastes bitter and chocolatey with an astringent finish. Some dark fruit emerges as the beer warms. The hops really clash with the malt profile in this one.

Bottle shared by goldtwins. Deep black beer. Creamy dark brown head. A lot of big licorice aroma as well. Tons of soft cocoa and a bit of rich salty aroma as well. There is a little bit of sourness underneath a strong espresso roasty component. Finishes quite dry and roasty with a hint of tartness as well. Lightly tarry and ashy on the finish.
