Draft. A deep red beer with a thin rim of tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel as well as a light touch of roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Very dark brown colour. Not much aroma, maybe a little toast. Thin, roasty body and palate. Kind of stout-like. Slight nuttiness belies that and in the end it is a by-the-numbers porter.

Tap@Laurelwood. This is one of those tasty innofensive porters that you can’t really give a bad score, not really complicated. Sweet toffee and chocolate, mollasses and some late toastyness, pretty tasty, soft and smooth.

On tap at Laurelwood, Portland. Black with dark brown edges. Tan head. Lovely porter aroma. Sligtly sour choc/malt. Very velvety choc/coffee in mouth. More choccy than I would expect. Nice. Some sour edge, bit of charcoal powder. Great balance. Loved the aroma on this so much I had to give it a 10. Again I had this 2 days later and it didn’t disappoint.
