Dec 28, 2008 33cl bottle at Delirium cafe. Gift from a friendly waitor. Pours unclear dark amber with a full creamy head and lacings. Nose is sweet of caramel. Vague roasted hints. Smooth & filling palate.Caramel and dark fruits with chocolate and warmth from alcohol in the background. Nice one. . .

Aroma roasted malts, caramel. Medium body. Taste sweet, roast malts, bit caramel, spice. Ends with bitterness, and a warm (alc.) touch.

Mar 30, 2009 Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
Pours a great red mahogany with a fine and quite clear white, small, creamy head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with some cellar notes. Overripe red apples, plums, prunes and raisins. Some toffee as well. Medium carbonation, fine, rather oily mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of toffee and yeast. Quite a surprising, ashy roastedness. Different than other dubbels, which usually have chocolate notes. Light warming vinious finish.

Sep 3, 2009 Hazy light chestnut. Sweet aroma is very fruity (fig, plum, apple). Dryish palate is quite yeasty, but with light figgy-datey accents. Some alcohol in the finish. Decent stuff, actually.

Dark amber color, good creamy off-white head. Dusty and spicey nose. Caramel malty, sweetish with dark fruits and spices. Alcoholic kick. Quite typical, although decent, dubbel with extra alcoholic punch.
