golubj (1036), Redwood City, California, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bottle, thanks to bitbucket. Golden amber pour, opaque, almost no head. Aroma is some sugary caramel malt. The flavor is the same, lightly toasted caramel malt, sugar, some spices also, and probably hops in the finish.
BillKismet (1444), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 2, 2008 Gold with a decent plush head. Mild Belgian aroma and flavor. Bready notes. Drinkable and mildly flavored for the style. Ok, but not too memorable. scraff (1672), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 26, 2008 22oz bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Thanks, Tom! Dark sparkling golden orange, thin white creamy head. Soft apple and spiced pear nose rides a faint swirl of yeast. Soft tropical fruit and apple flavors round with a sweet earth hop finish. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Decent, but not my thing... GJF (243), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Aug 21, 2008 Updated: Sep 19, 2008Pretty average for the style. Dark golden color, small white head that disappears almost instantly with no lacing. Nice yeasty aroma. Flavor is sweet followed by tart apple. Light, fizzy body. So-so. ratman197 (2362), Arvada, Colorado, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bomber poured a lightly hazy tarnished gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of straw, burnt carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, fruittiness and light spice with a smooth semisweet finish. Sleeper (66), Washington, USA Aug 17, 2008 Smells citrus and yeasty. Taste is orange but not overly fruity. Mellow malt with a complimenting hop finish. This is a great beer.
