Very low hop aroma, very little lacing. Had a bitter finish without real hop flavor. I love Washington beers but this one left me disappointed.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a color that was half-way between amber and orange, slightly hazy, with a large foamy off-white head and lots of lacing rings. Nose of citrus dominates but there are some pine notes as well. Smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter with citrus and pine. Long dry bitter finish rounds out a good and easy drinking IPA.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, pine, grapefruit, slight toasted malts, slight caramel, and some citrus. Poured deep orange/deep amber in color with a small, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Fair to good lacing. Flavor is light to medium bitter and lightly sweet. Tastes of hops, pine, grapefruit, light pale malts, light crystal malts, slight resin, and slight citrus. Medium body. Oily, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hops, slight pine, slight citrus, slight resin, and lightly toasted malt finish is lightly dry.

Bottle in Crescent City. Pours a clear brown with a foamy off-white head and lacings. Smells malty and hoppy. Mellow bitterness with hoppy aromas. Also hints of toasted malts. Slightly fruity. Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Crispy dry finish.

22 0z bottle - Pleasing aroma that definitely announces an IPA. Poured a clear copper with a dense head that hung around for a while. The flavor was assertive with much hop presence and it rode easy on the tongue. My overall impression is this a great northwest IPA and a real sleeper that has lasting drinkability.

Aroma: Nice mild hop aroma very earthy and fresh.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Nice hops flavor the malt adds to the flavor this very well brewed.
Palate: Dry IPA finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Big flavor this is not a tongue killer nor does it peel paint with the hops flavor this is drinkable and very nice.

22 oz. bottle via trade with scrizzz - Pours a slightly hazy deep amber color with a 1/2 finger thick light tan head. Very light lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops and a hint of toasted malt. Flavor is lightly sweetened toasted malt and pine hops. Has an astringent aftertaste. Medium body. A decent IPA. Thanks Clint.

Bomber courtesy of SirChugsALot poured into a tulip. This one pours a bright, clear amber with hints of red underneath a big yellowish white head that recedes fairly quickly to a solid ring and leaves decent lacing. The dominant aroma up front is the light citrus hop whiffs of grapefruit and lemon zest. However, the malt presence really surprised me with lots of lightly toasted caramel malts in the nose as well. The taste follows the aroma pretty closely and, again, is a very balanced IPA. There are plenty of hops up front, some grapefruit but a little more earthy in character than the aroma suggested. The malt backbone is much bigger than most of the IPAs I’ve had recently and keep the hops from dominating by coating the palate with caramel. The mouthfeel is very smooth and slightly dry in the finish, though not very bitter at all. The hop profile, while sizable, doesn’t really translate into bitterness in the mouthfeel. This is a tasty and very well balanced IPA. It’s not the most aggressively bitter west coast IPA I’ve had but that adds a little bit to the drinkability.
