TheSponge (176), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Feb 11, 2008 1 pint 6 oz. bottle purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek, WA. Pours an orange/amber color. Medium hops flavor. jah noth (959), Rochester, New York, USA May 3, 2007 Sweet tangerine aroma wafts above this glowing light amber beauty. Coarse bitterness, not astringent, but a little aspirin. Orang citric dominance, with some toasty malts to complement. Slight burn and residual lemon hoppiness. Fairly full bodied and quite a quaffer. I think they have a little winner here. André delivers again! beerguy101 (3608), Newark, California, USA Jan 16, 2008 This IPA pours a medium brown color. Small sized white fluffy head. Aroma is floral hops and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice balance, especially for a Pac NW IPA. Slightly sweet with a lot of citrusy hop bitterness. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
stoutlover72 (1342), NorCal, California, USA Jan 16, 2008 A really nice and suprising beer. I’d never heard of these guys and someone at our last tasting brings this out and wow. Really tasty. Huge citrus hop nose with tangerine, and an overall floral character that was really intruiging. Appearance was a nice deep amber color and a two finger thick white fluffy head. Flavors I could pick up were biscuity malts up front and then the sharp citric hops take over and then it all comes together nicely on the end. I could get some clear lemony twang all thru the beer as well. Really interesting beer. greenhorn1 (403), Eugene, Oregon, USA Aug 10, 2007 22 oz bomber from bottletrek.com. Gotta tell ya, I think this is underated. This is an excellent NW IPA. Pours a clear amber, big citrus and hop nose. Flavor is citrus (grapefruit) with a nice balance of malt background. Long hop finish, yet subtle. Medium mouthfeel, slightly oily. Nice alcohol warmth. Definitely a session and a winner by....who?? I can’t wait to try their other styles.
