Aroma of bready malts, biscuits perhaps. Nice floral peppery hops come through. Flavors of bready malts and peppery floral hops. Nice lingering hoppy finish. Enjoyable. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Received a sneak preview release at the brewery in Everett, WA. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit and a touch of pine with some light caramel and bread malts. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with plenty of citrus and grapefruit flavors on top of a mild multi-grain malt. Finish is semi-sweet, actually a nice balance with an extra hop presence that kicks in after the finish. Brewmaster expressed he will be cutting back on the hop presence on the next batch. NO Make this one again, just like the first batch. The extra hop character almost brought this into an IPA category beer and I wouldn’t mind trying this again and could easily see this one as an Extra Pale Ale. Quite tasty
