pours a deep brown with little tan head. no lacing. interesting aroma of bittersweet chocolate and a bit of hops. I can’t tell if it is thin or if it is just really that clean. nice balanced finish. defintely a bit different porter.

Out of a bottle at Collins Pub. Pours a near black with very thin head. Aroma is thin, toasted malt, coffee, some vanilla. Taste is alcohol, red fruits, coffee. Fairly boring.

on tap at collins for porter weekend. pours black with a head that just covers the middle, no rim lacing. Aroma has a lightly cherry note, like a cordial. Also some rum notes. Taste is highly sweet with a decent medium mouthfeel.

Bomber. Pours a brown body with a tan head large head. Malty watery chocolate with a hint of earth and roast. A sudden cherry medicinal note. Thin and possibly infected.

from old rating note: on tap at some point on pacific n.w. trip. black pour with sizable tan head. aroma of coffee, chocolate and soy(?). cocoa and earthy tastes that somehow end up sour. has an off astringent vibe to it. good medium oily texture though. K7

22oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a deep coffee brown with a 2 finger thick tan head, very little lacing. Nose of canned coffee with some bitter sweet cocoa. Flavor was much like the nose, bitter sweet with coffee grounds.

Bomber. Poured deeper reddish-brown with just a light dusting of beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter, roasty black patent malts and lesser chocolate with a looming sour metallic character beneath. The flavor was mostly dry-roasted black patent with mild coffee bitterness surrounding.. the sourness was there again, and while not overwhelming, it didn’t help a bit.. finished with generic roasty black malts and metal. Medium-ish bodied and dry on the palate with off notes from was seems to be an infection.. the baddies didn’t completely wreck it, but it just wasn’t a very good porter.

22 oz. bottle via trade with scrizzz - Pours a dark brown color with a 3/4 finger thick tan head. Aroma is sweet cola, light chocolate, and light herbal hops. Very light lacing. Flavor is toasted caramel malt and light chocolate. Body is a tad thin and palate is dry. A decent beer, but seems lacking in all components to be a good Porter. Thanks Clint.
