From a 22oz. bottle--Poured a deep dark black body with a thick frothy tan head. Thin body. Very metallic flavor. Roasty, spicily hopped. Some coffee, some chocolate. Not too shabby.

Bonus appearance point ’cause I love the Lazy Boy logo. Nice aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and slightly burnt toast. Interesting tartness in the flavor, mixed with coffee and chocolate, plus a nice subtle fruitiness. A bit on the thin side, but that seems to work here. Tasty stuff.

Bottle: Pours like a stout, nearly pitch black, moderate fizzy beige head, dies somewhat quickly, lacing is fairly nice.   Very soft malt nose, a bit more hop presense, burnt malt husks, with a very soft sour lactic background.   Mildly bitter on the tongue, roasty, slightly dry and a little chalky.   Kinda falls off quickly on the backside.   A little bit too sour, not lambic like, but certainly moreso like a "London Style" Porter, which I don’t usually care for.   Yeah, definitely finishes a bit sour.   Moderate malt base, slightly roasted but moreso a sour lactic background.   Smells a bit better than it tastes, granted its not bad, just not what I was expecting.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit it does seem as if it might be a little thin on the malts.   Meh...

22 oz. bottle - pours jet black with thin tan head around the edges; pleasant roasted aromas with thin texture and a little weak on the chocolate flavors

22. Pours black with a loose, egg-white-y head of tan bubbles. Lovely nose of roast and chocolate. Not much happening on the attack, kinda thin and the carb is very soft. Mid-palate comes up sour milk, goes all watery, and leaves in a thin wash of chalk. Not pleasant at any turn once you lift the glass to your lips, but really a nice nose.
