On draft at the brewery. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a thick and lacy head that slowly collapses. Creamy medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma of nuts, caramel and chocolate. The taste stars with sweet roasted nuts and chocolate, and finishes with an espresso-pine bitterness. Almost sneaking into stout territory. Tasty!

On tap at the brewery. Thick black roasted goodness. Full bodied aroma, some campfire smoke. Dark and full, not cloying or overly heavy. The hops perk up at the end to balance the finish. Little bacon throughout, ya I dig it.

GCBF cask conditioned sample. Nice dark porter. Very dark. Thin creamy head. Dark chocolate coffee flavour. Dark sour finish.

Dark brown, nearly black really, with moderate carbonation generating a surprisingly lively head. Lots of chocolate in the aroma. Medium bodied, chocolate and clay/earthy tones, slightly acidic finish, almost tart. I actually quite liked this, and found it is similar to the London-style old porters.

Enjoyable textbook example of the style. Medium bodied with a big roasted coffee nose and mild earthy and floral hops. Roasted cocoa notes along with some wood and nuts.

Bonus appearance point ’cause I love the Lazy Boy logo. Nice aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and slightly burnt toast. Interesting tartness in the flavor, mixed with coffee and chocolate, plus a nice subtle fruitiness. A bit on the thin side, but that seems to work here. Tasty stuff.

On tap somewhere? Great roasted malts and a good amount of taste for a porter. Also stopped by for a visit to their brewery a while back, and was impressed by most of what I tasted. This is a very drinkable and flavorful porter. Not outstanding, but solid.

Black, deep ruby edges. Aroma is mollases, chocolate, soy sauce. Taste is a light chocolate, mollases, some coffee. Body is about right.
