Commercial Description:
True to our pirate roots here along the southern border of Louisiana. The French called the local pirates Jacques, but our Brewster insists on the female spelling Jaque. Amberjaque is a light amber ale made with Pale malts, Rye, and Caramel malts. A wonderful refreshing light bodied ale, it’s the perfect starter beer. The aroma hops provide a hint of spice, but there is no bitterness in this beer. Second only to Southern Pecan as one of our signature beers.

I have found a beer I absolutely love! tried one on draft at a local bar and went to the nearest supermarket that sold it and bought a party pig (mini keg). I am almost out and already have a back-up waiting. Best American Amber Ale I have tasted so far. I like it better than my old favorite, Newcastle Brown Ale.

On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Flowood, MS. Nice aroma, not much of a head. Nice amber color. Great flavor, not as strong as the southern pecan but very tasty.

Poured an orangey-amber color with creamy white head which it didn’t retain. Not heavy and very drinkable, what the English call a "session beer". Has a unique taste that is hard to describe, but the taste grows on you. No hops, no bitterness, no real distinguishable taste characteristic.

easty, hoppy, bitterness, malt and yeast finish with spice again. Nitro creaminess. Acidic palate. Bit of lace. Yeast at bottom of bottles. Medium mouthfeel. Unusual, Southern experiment. What’s next for this brewery? Thanks JoeyC by way of Aracauna.

A very nice amber- everything that I look for. Minimal hops with a dominance of malt. Very surprising for a little brewery in Mississippi.

Slightly hazed, medium amber body with a thinnish creamy head. The aroma is less hoppy than what I remember at the brewery, but there is a nice maltiness there. The beer is soft-bodied, with a very light sweetness. The malt is bread like, one of the darker types (rye bread, duh). Very drinkable session beer and comes across very British like a bitter or British PA.
