The taste reminds me of sweet potato casserole and burnt marshmallow. Some chocolate as well. Disappointing because of the cool concept. Falls short on the palette. Tasted flat. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Nose is nice and roasty, malty and chocolately. Taste is a bit milder than the nose. All flavors present and also a bit sweet. Body is light for a stout and the alcohol is well hidden. Overall a decent beer. sebletitje (1995), Tampa, Florida, USA

Tap @ the 1st Annual Rocket City Brewfest. 08 may 09. Dark brown pour. Aroma of roast and some coffee. Flavor has a nice roast, odd sweetness, some chicory, and light coffee. Considering it is a beer from Mississippi, this beer is awesome. A+ Peterlemonjelo (36), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

A - Pours a handsome dark brown color with a very thin head which disappears very quickly. I’ve never experienced any lacing on the glass with this beer.
S - Nice aromas of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate...smells very robust. Hop aromas are not present but still smells very nice.
T - Disappointing flavor follows such a fine smelling beer. The flavors present in the aroma just don’t pop in the taste. It has a relatively thin/watery feel which seems to take away from the big flavors I expect to find. Slight bitterness balance out the dark malt flavors.
M - Thinner than I like in a stout
D - This is a very easy drinking stout. It’s relative light body make it very drinkable and one could have a ton of these in a drinking session. mtrain237 (3), Florida, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Another great selection by this brewery. No heavy flavor or taste. This beer is full of nice subtleties. The sweet potato is a great addition. I recommend this to anyone likes a great stout or someone who isnt too sure about dark heavy beers. This one is easy drinking and lighter than most stouts. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
