Commercial Description:
A true classic. The original pecan beer. The conventional wisdom is that nuts and beer don’t mix. Maybe it’s something about the water here, and maybe it’s just the smooth toasted flavors in Southern Mississippi pecans, but our pecans help make what we consider to be one of the best beers we have ever tasted. We consider pecans to be a perfect addition to this nut brown ale. Smooth and mild with a malty sweetness accentuated by a rich finish. A finely balanced ale destined to become a southern classic.

GABF 2008. Clear copper bown. Sweet toffee with a subtle pleasant nutty accent, low bitterness. The roast pecan character is quite elegant, understated even. Very enjoyable in a quiet way.

Had to use the six pack cartgrige to mix a six pack and added a bottle. The people on the package bother me, pretty silly design. Lots of caramel in the nose. Flavors of chocolate coffee were pretty light. There was some raisin. Good drinking brown, better than castle.

Draught. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear brown body. Alcohol spicy, coriander and juniper, caramel hops aroma and flavor. High carbonation and a long aftertaste.

pours a clear brown with mild whtire head. light roasted pecan aroma, carries onto the palate. very good and subtle, roasted background of the pecans give a nice balacne to a sweet undertone of the style, good and sessionable.

Courtsey of cigarcitybrew. Pours copper, brownish head. Aroma is floral and malty. Taste, caramel malts, nutty, floral hops, definite good use of pecan nuts.

From a 12 ounce bottle - Pours a beautiful clear deep orange/red with low carbonation, and below average lacing. Smells roasted pecans, heavy malts, along with strong alcohol notes. First sip is both bitter and sweet with a nice nutty presence. Fairly light bodied. Not too bad, not too good.
