Commercial Description:
A true classic. The original pecan beer. The conventional wisdom is that nuts and beer don’t mix. Maybe it’s something about the water here, and maybe it’s just the smooth toasted flavors in Southern Mississippi pecans, but our pecans help make what we consider to be one of the best beers we have ever tasted. We consider pecans to be a perfect addition to this nut brown ale. Smooth and mild with a malty sweetness accentuated by a rich finish. A finely balanced ale destined to become a southern classic.

Bottle. Poured a clear light brown-orange color. Smelled of husky grain, steeping barley, and dog food. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet. Graced by toffee, artificial sweetner, and husky grain flavors. Almost fit for a king.

Bottle courtesy of Retorp. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of pecans, sweet caramel, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and slight nutty oily finish. Very good.

Bottle shared by robert at stateline, given to him by bert (sloth) thanks guys! Light brown in color. Aroma of light pecans, malt and a little caramel. Taste upfront was a nice malty backbone, nuts, with a nice touch of caramel and pecans in the taste. Texture was a little thin but still good. Overall this beer was pretty good, hats off to the brewers! Thanks robert and bert!

Thanks to BeerandBlues2 for hooking me up with this. Wow... intense nutty flavor. I can almost taste the pecans. Clean tasting, very easy to drink. Almost too easy. Beautiful dark amber in color. Nutty malty aroma. Practically the perfect beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear brown/amber, with a an off-white head that quickly disappears. No lacing. Aroma is a bit strong, heavy on the pecans, with a bit of sweet caramel/chocolate malts. Flavor is fairly similar, highly nutty, with dark chocolate malts. Palate is medium bodied, slightly slick, but finishes a bit watery. Not a bad beer, but the flavor and aroma seem manufactured. I’d probably like this a whole lot more if they toned it down just a bit. Low alcohol content however makes this a decent session ale.
