Color is a clear rich blood red brown with a thin little frothy head - looks very similar to blood with some lacing. Smell is nutty and malty. Flavor is nutty and strangely sweet - almost gritty. Taste is just a bit too offputting for me - that sweetness isn’t rich or enjoyable but instead seems out of place and just kinda kills it for me. Mouthfeel is quite chalky. theisti (1678), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Aroma of pecan nuts, maltiness and not much else. Taste is slightly malty, and a bunch of Pecan nuttiness. Palate is medium and drinkable. Nothing really bad about this beer, just a bit one dimensional (Pecan) and bland. Thanks for stopping by and sharing this one Dan. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2008 Bottled. Poured burnt sienna with a short cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet nutty notes, caramel, and a bit of molasses.. gave a sweet and enjoyable impression. The flavor had toasted caramel, pecans, and light smoke to it.. bitterness was mild and herbal in nature.. the finish picked up a little dry semi-sweet chocolate.. tasty. Lighter-bodied with high carbonation that got in the way.. brighter and greener on the back-end.. quite enjoyable overall. bwbeall812 (27), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA

Pours a light brownish red with a head that settles to a ring. Looks like cola. Nutty aroma with hints of sweetness. The flavor also has a little sweetness that is followed by a pleasant nutty aspect. Light, yet still somewhat flavorful. Pretty straightforward easy drinking brew. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA
