Pours a light brownish red with a head that settles to a ring. Looks like cola. Nutty aroma with hints of sweetness. The flavor also has a little sweetness that is followed by a pleasant nutty aspect. Light, yet still somewhat flavorful. Pretty straightforward easy drinking brew. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a clear reddish brown with a short lived fizzy beige head. Smell is nutty malt and not much else. Taste is metallic up front, followed by a thin nutty malt flavor. Easy drinking, but too thin, and not very flavorful. I didn’t find this to be a very good brown ale. mattmc1973 (313), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

Pours a clear amber/brown with small head that dissipated fully and left no lacing. Aroma of pecans, and a bit winey. Taste of malt and pecans. Body was thin and a bit watery. Decently quenching. All in all, OK. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with GAManiac. Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a thin off-white head that disappeared after a couple of sips and left virtually no lace. Very light aroma of malt and nuts, which I am assuming are pecans. Its really too indistinct to tell for sure. Much more flavorful than the aroma suggests with some lightly sweet malt, a bit of brown sugar, and pecans. The pecans really add a richness to this beer in both the flavor and the texture. Very enjoyable. Another state...MS...Whoot!
