Pours a nice amber orange with a small tan head. Aroma of brown sugar and roasty nuts and malt. Flavor is similar, but the nuts didn’t come through as much on the tongue. Sweet and easy drinking.
If beer and nuts don’t mix, why do they make Beer Nuts? BOLTZ7555 (1121), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Screw "conventional wisdom" that "nuts and beer don’t mix". This is a tasty beer!!! Burnt orange bordering blood-red (a theme of the night), this beer is pure Mississippi sweet tea...natural sugar and buttered-pecan. Yummy. Mild grassy notes reminiscent of the Great Plain states. Head to the storm cellar...a twister is a brewin’!!! Sparky27 (1641), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a clear ruby color with minimal white head. Nose is caramel malts, molasses and toasted nuts. Palate is much like it smells: caramel, brown sugar and a touch of spice. Liquid pecan pie? Not my favorite style, but a decent representation I suppose. unclemattie (2442), Georgia, USA

Aroma of caramel and some nutty mealiness. Flavor is a sweet malt, buttery, caramel, and a distant oiliness of pecans. Mostly a nut flavor from the malts not so much of the pecans. Overall it is a very drinkable beer and very enjoyable. When in Mississippi this is the beer I will look for! jstrott (9), Georgia, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 25, 2008 medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish, light sweetness, brown, nuts, tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA

The aroma is sweet caramel, light earthy notes. The flavor is sweet caramel mostly, with a little bit of a nut meat quality. There’s just a hint of a spicy hop tingle in the finish. Not particularly great, but an easy drink nonetheless. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Thanks to BrentFeesh. Clear Brown/red pour with very small faint white head. Aroma is slight caramel. Flavor is caramel with a hint of nuttiness. There’s really not much pecan going on here with a dry chalky aftertaste. Again there is some nut flavor but really it’s just straight bitter caramel. Thin bodie and lacking in carbonation. Nothing exciting about this one. Bockyhorsey (2556), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Deep amber body with beige head. Flavor has a sweet malt backbone but also a nutty flavor along with a carbinated cola to it. Sweetness lingers on the palate. Thanks Brent for a new state and a good trade.
