Commercial Description:
A true classic. The original pecan beer. The conventional wisdom is that nuts and beer don’t mix. Maybe it’s something about the water here, and maybe it’s just the smooth toasted flavors in Southern Mississippi pecans, but our pecans help make what we consider to be one of the best beers we have ever tasted. We consider pecans to be a perfect addition to this nut brown ale. Smooth and mild with a malty sweetness accentuated by a rich finish. A finely balanced ale destined to become a southern classic.

Dark amber with a nice thick off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, nuts, caramel. Flavor is a bit metalic with nuts, caramel, roast and sweet malts...not too sweet...not bad at all.

Sample Hotshots Feb Indy tasting - Aroma is caramel, pecan, toasted malts and not much else. Pours light brown with a ring head and no lacing. Flavor is pecan, toffee and caramel malts. Palate is clean and smooth. I think this beer should’ve been served first as we already had some big hitters that overwhelmed it. That being said, it still wasn’t all that impressive, but I would be willing to give it another go if i get the chance. I do love pecans.

Bought a party pig for the superbowl. Great dark amber color with a tan head. Pretty good beer. Noticed strong bitter finish in the first glass...not so much in the 5th or 6th. Wished it had more of a pecan flavor instead of sweet malty flavor, but that’s just me. I’m sure I’ll purchase this again.

Thanks alot brent for sending me 2 12oz bottles of this since i cant get this near me. It pours a clear brown color with a head that fades as quick as the pour. There are some hints of apricot in the aroma with some traces of nuts. AS it sip on it theflavor is a bit water with some initial hop bitterness followed by light fruits. The palate duration is very short and the flavors do not last that long.

Pours a brilliant clear amber colour with a whispy tan head that fades immediately. Muted nose of crystal malt, mild nuts, faint toffee and cereal grain. The flavour is mildly nutty mid-palate, but finishing with gentle malt sweetness and roasted pecan. The flavour is completely unoffensive and the roasted nut, cereal grain and sweet malt flavours blend nicely to create a quaffable session brew. The tingly, medium carbonation paired with the silky, medium body of this brewski makes it even more gulpable. Kind of boring, but nice.

I missed out on the pecan flavor to this beer, but I could definitely taste the nuttiness to it. Enjoyed trying this, but would probably pass on it next time - a great novelty brew.

12 oz bottle from brentfeesh - thanks Brent! Pretty pour - a clear, deep amber with a beige head. Sweet caramel nose, mild nuttiness. Mildly malty flavor, light nutty tone. Mildly bitter finish. Very drinkable.
