Commercial Description:
A true classic. The original pecan beer. The conventional wisdom is that nuts and beer don’t mix. Maybe it’s something about the water here, and maybe it’s just the smooth toasted flavors in Southern Mississippi pecans, but our pecans help make what we consider to be one of the best beers we have ever tasted. We consider pecans to be a perfect addition to this nut brown ale. Smooth and mild with a malty sweetness accentuated by a rich finish. A finely balanced ale destined to become a southern classic.

My new favorite brown ale here. I’m not a super fan of the style but this one was really good. Looks beautiful. Dark warm brown with a nice fluffy head. Looks great when held up to the sunlight. Smells very sweet and nutty with a good maltiness to it as well. Great smooth taste. Different than other brown ales in that it doesn’t taste quite as malty or something. Very good. I called the brewery yesterday and they said that the beer would be available in Tn. Sometime this year. Yes!!!

I first tried this beer at the Magic City Brewfest, luckily it started showing up in stores shortly after. It’s got a great dark amber color. I didn’t get an exact pecan flavor but it’s definitely got a "different than nutt brown" taste to it.

Bottle… Crystal clear ruby ale with a small, creamy, beige head. Notes of pecans, cereal grains and light milk chocolate swirl together to establish a wonderful aroma. The flavor is of medium sweet brown malts and nuts. Adequately bittered for terrific balance. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with mild carbonation. Tactfully sweet, nutty finish. I could drink this beer all day! Thanks go out to dsnowden for breaking out the party pig!

Party pig. Courtesy dsnowden. Thanks Dan for bringing this all the way from Missssisssssippppppi!!!!! Pours a clear maroon amber, with a big, frothy, light tan head. Pretty looking. The smell is of toasted pecans, malts, a little caramel, and even a trace of pumpkin seeds as well. Quite nice. The flavor is of big caramel and vanilla, and the toasted pecans and pumpkin seeds certainly are noticeable as well. Really smooth flavors, easy to drink, tasty, great brew. Really no bitterness at all in the finish. This is my first experience with this brewery and I come away impressed. Thanks again Dan!

Courtesy dsnowden. Clear ruby-copper color with a thin white head at the edges. Sweet caramel and toasted nut aromas. A very light spice component also. Light-bodied, with a mild caramel/spiced brown sugar taste with a bit of a thin finish.
