| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours lightly hazy orange amber with a thin straw head. Sweet aroma of nuts, brown sugar, grass. Lightish body, watery texture and moderate carbonation. The taste isn’t as sweet as the aroma, but there is caramel, and the pecans come out more. There’s an almost vanilla-like quality with hints of grass and oranges on the finish. There isn’t the Rogue-like avalanche of hazelnuts, but pecans add a pleasant changeup ot the standard brown ale taste. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 (Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a deep amber with mellow carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is faint with a hint of malt showing. Taste is nutty and dry. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish comes in nutty with some sweet caramel showing up and a bit of a roasted taste. After taste is a bit more sweet with a candy like taste that somehow comes off clean. Overall its a nice Brown with good nut flavor. dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Pours an expected nut brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is very nutty, sweet, hints of caramel, and malt. First half of 12oz bottle was very nice tasting very pleasant, nutty, with the right amount of sweetness. Second half was a bit difficult to finish. I think this is the perfect beer to share.
