Commercial Description:
A true classic. The original pecan beer. The conventional wisdom is that nuts and beer don't mix. Maybe it's something about the water here, and maybe it's just the smooth toasted flavors in Southern Mississippi pecans, but our pecans help make what we consider to be one of the best beers we have ever tasted. We consider pecans to be a perfect addition to this nut brown ale. Smooth and mild with a malty sweetness accentuated by a rich finish. A finely balanced ale destined to become a southern classic.

Bottle from Brentfeesh. Thanks! Pours a very nice deep mahogany with red hues and a beige head. Very nice aroma of maple, caramelly malts, cookie dough, and nuts. Medium light bodied with a thin texture. Flavor of nuts, caramel, and tobacco with a hint of fruit. There is decent amount of residual sweetness. The pecans really come through on the finish when it’s right out of the fridge, but the astringency shows up as well. All cellar temp (which I prefer on this one), the finish is semi dry with flavors of husky grains with no astringency. Not too bad. A little more body would make this even better.

Courtsey of cigarcitybrew. Pours copper, brownish head. Aroma is floral and malty. Taste, caramel malts, nutty, floral hops, definite good use of pecan nuts.

From a 12 ounce bottle - Pours a beautiful clear deep orange/red with low carbonation, and below average lacing. Smells roasted pecans, heavy malts, along with strong alcohol notes. First sip is both bitter and sweet with a nice nutty presence. Fairly light bodied. Not too bad, not too good.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of fiver29. Pours a clear orangey brown with a rough beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Light-bodied with sweetish roasted malt and burned caramel. Lightly nutty with some overripe fruit. No bitterness. 041008

Bottle. Poured a clear light brown-orange color. Smelled of husky grain, steeping barley, and dog food. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet. Graced by toffee, artificial sweetner, and husky grain flavors. Almost fit for a king.
