Had on draft. Poured into a pint glass and appeared a clear brown color. Slight aroma of the malt and nuts. The first sip I didn’t get much, but I think the beer was just way too cold. After warming up the beer for about 15 minutes, was caramel malts with some slight hoppiness. As the beer continued to warm, some of the pecan nut taste started to appear.

Dec 13, 2009 Bottle via trade thanks to PALMEJ1 on BeerAdvocate. Pours a clear medium amber-brown color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is malty and nutty with caramel, pecans, and maple syrup. Flavor is similarly malty and nutty. Starts off with some good caramel malt and maple syrup, then finishes with a sweet candied pecan flavor. Medium body with average carbonation. Very drinkable. Overall this is a nicely done beer, and my first from the state of Mississippi.

Dec 8, 2009 Bottle from Josh or ericandersnavy. I’m guessing Josh, cause the cap isn’t taped down! Pours a beautiful ruddy copper with a two finger fine beige head. It actually smells like pecans. Medium body with rather creamy carbonation. Flavor is nutty and roast caramel, with a mild amount of bitter. This stuff is really smooth and lightly nut astringent. Quite tasty. Excellent and better than average brown ale.

Dec 7, 2009 Saw this in a gas station close to Bay St. Louis, just off I-10 and thought it might be good. Had a draft pour a few days later in Pensacola at Hopjack’s. I am NOT a fan of brown ales, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t amazing. I want to know how they got all that roast pecan into the aroma. Nice, sweetish, and carmelly with a slight pecan aftertaste. Leaves a nice film on the roof of your mouth. Very nice. I’d love to try other beers by this brewery.

Dec 3, 2009 2009 Bottle - Thanks brentfeesh! - Pours a hazy amber with a large beige head...aroma is fruity and floral, brown sugar and sweet roasted nuts...flavour is similar, sweet roast malt, toast and spice-y candied nut coating...massively carbed, finish is sweet, tasty...

Nov 28, 2009 12oz bottle. clear amber-brown pour with a thin light tan head and a ring of retention. nutty aroma with brown sugar, roasted malts and caramel. sweet brown sugar maltiness in the taste with the expected nuts and caramel. thin to medium oily palate. ok - but definitely too sugary for my tastes.

Nov 24, 2009 Pours a mostly clear mahogany brown color topped by a small, foamy tan colored head that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows the sweet caramel malt base with hints of brown sugar, and candied nuts. I don’t get too much of the pecan like I was expecting. The flavor follows with the caramel and brown sugar malt to go with some candied sugar and a touch of nuts. Some earthy hops on the finish add a nice bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth and just a touch syrupy with a sweet, dry finish. I didn’ get too much of the pecan like I was hoping, but it was still a nice session brown ale.

Nov 24, 2009 Pours a dark brown color. Two-finger head of tan foam. Retention is okay and lacing is minimal.
Roasted pecans and toasted malts. Light caramel notes. Mostly, it just smells lightly sweet.
Good, solid brown ale, with a nice level of nuttiness. Some hints of pecan flavor and acidity. Light caramel maltiness. Biscuity.
Light body. Nice and smooth.
This would be a great session beer. Low ABV, which is undetectable, when drinking. Good, smooth and easy to drink.
