Dec 9, 2009 Bottle: Poured a deep bright amber color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and honey is quite wonderful – I can’t say what spices are used (coriander? And something else) but the mix is very interesting. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I must admit to being quite surprised – the spice mix is wonderful and the honey smoothed out everything else.

Nov 18, 2009 Beaucoup de mousse qui dure, belle couleur rouge, bonne senteur d’épice. Très épicé au goût. Peu de goût acre. J’ai mellé la lie. Le miel adouci la bière.

Nov 9, 2009 500 ml bottle. Good looking brown pour with a beige head. Sweet honey aromas some hoppiness and fruits (grapes). Sweet honey and grape juice taste with a nice spice finale. Medium carbonation and density gives this beer a light-heavyweight mouthfeel and is quite enjoyable.

Nov 2, 2009 Bottle - 500ml. Nice hazy brown body with ruby glints and a lasting off-white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with fruity (grape, orange, melon) and oaky hints. Alcohol is well hidden. However, its hoppy taste is slightly misbalanced and lacks complexity and strength. It carries brown sugar notes and leaves a bad chemical aftertaste.

Oct 19, 2009 Draught. Mondiale 2009 - day 3. Slightly hazy deep amber with a small frothy off-white diminishing head. Mild sweet caramel + yeast aroma, continuing into a VERY sweet, lightly grassy taste, just a small hint of pungent spiciness. Average body, decent carbonation, the malt finishes really quickly and I was left thinking this was grassier than it actually was - easy to drink, but quite forgettable.

Sep 15, 2009 Verre de dégustation, provenant d’un fût, dégusté au Festival Bières et Saveurs 2009 (Chambly, QC). Arôme: Légère odeur fruitée avec une pointe d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est brune. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel légèrement fruité avec une pointe de miel. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de miel en arrière goût. (Rating #2663)
