Le Bilboquet LAnge Gardien

Robe blonde-blanche voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche fugace. Arômes âcres du malt. Houblon de soutien. Saveurs âcres du malt, blé sur. Banane en finale.

Served with a slice of lemon. An unclear dark orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of oranges, but I also detect pink grape. The flavor is very spicy with coriander being most dominant, but also very fruity with oranges and pink grape being the most dominant notes. The end is dry.

Pale yellow, light white ring. Very estery nose, no spices used they say. Heavy banana and peeled-off wood sticks. Well developped wheat and ginger flavors, fruity and of limited complexity unfortunately. Smooth soft carbonation, the yeast dominates and procures a fading astringence. light-medium bodied.

Mild floral, fruity aroma with some cinammon spiciness. Hazy tan gold with low but lasting, creamy white head that leaves some lacing. Banana, mild clove, orange and wheat flavours are pleasantly balanced. Creamy texture with light body and gently effervescent carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere and Ungstrup.

Hazy dun colour. Yeasty, sweaty aroma with strong cinnamon notes. Flavour is heavy on the ginger. A touch overcarbonated so the malts get obscured. Finish is mainly spicy. Not bad for a ginger beer. Too bad it’s not a ginger beer.
