red éric (1382), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 18, 2006 Bright yellow color, with a frothy white head, grainy, pale malt, wet hay, hint of raw cereals, faint floral hop aroma follows through on medium-bodied palate with a juicy pale malt, with a subtle corny note, floral hops, hint of fruitiness, leading towards a faint hops bittering finish. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 1, 2005 An orange beer with no head. The aroma is very sweet malty with a slight hint of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, giving it a slightly sticky mouthfeel, until the dry hoppy end sets in. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Clear dull straw yellow. Strawy tartish hay in the nose, very limited flavors. Low herbal hoppiness, low maltiness, slight sandy dryness. Quite watery palate with a creamy tang. Quite dull. tiggmtl (4180), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 19, 2005 Clean, pale malt aroma with light fruitiness and mild herbal hops. Clear blonde body with low white head that diminishes to ring. Grainy malt flavour is lightly fruity with low finishing bitterness. Light body, creamy texture and low carbonation. Straight-forward but well-brewed, though I’d have to say this is more of a golden/blonde ale than American pale ale. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere and Ungstrup. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2005 Golden, bright. Slight husky pale malt aroma. Clean, fresh pale malt character. Not terribly exciting but decently produced.
