Radek Kliber (3284), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2007 On tap at Mondial 2007.
Amber brown with large, rocky, foamy head. Neat , presentable ale.
Fresh, citric hop aroma on top. Sweet sugar malts behinds.
Woody brown with light hint of burn. Green, raw hopps are shown yet they are well covered by, meaty, sticky solid brown malts. Carbos are a bit on sharp side. Over all quiet refreshing.
Quevillon (1273), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Sep 29, 2006 Bu sur place, en échation (5oz). Brune terre cuite, collet moyen. Bon arome d’houblon et de noisette. Goût d’houblon amère plaisant avec un soupson de noix. tiggmtl (4169), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 28, 2006 Nutty and caramel malts are marred by some lightly vegetal cabbagey DMS. Clear burnished copper coloured body is topped by a low, dense and lasting off white head. Caramel and nutty malt flavours with almost imperceptible bitterness that simply keeps the sweet malts in check. Slight DMS especially in the aftertaste. Medium body with fair carbonation and a very soft, slick texture. Sampled at Mondial 2006. red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 18, 2006 Sampled at the brewepub, amber-brown color, with a creamy beige head, leaving laces, spicy nose of coriander, cinnamon, even a touch of juniper, toasted malt, hint fruitiness, nutty accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with yeasty but quite strange washing soap character, an almondy bitterness, nutty, sweet toasted malt, hint of fruitiness, leading towards a flowery hops bittering finish.
