Fruity nose, lots of cherry and also some marcipan. Cherries dominate in the mouth, a bit sweet, but not too much. Hints of almond and also some off-tastes. Body is on the light side. Fizzy. Refreshing on a hot day. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 21, 2006 Updated: Nov 22, 2006 Draught, actually at the LLN place Huge, cyclamen head leaving quite some lace over slightly hazy cherry-red beer. Concentrated cherry-sweets nose, Belle-Vue at its peak. Cherry bonbons, with some citric acid added. A real classic: it’s actually a good fizzy fruitdrink alternative. Fizzy, slightly tart and obviously some syrupy feel in the back. Well. The porren ask for it, do they? TheGrandMaster (1875), Auckland, New Zealand
