On-Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom poured into Snifter glass. Pours a deep murky reddish-brown that has some light edging with a light cream colored head that remains a nice creamy ring around the glass all the way through. The nose is sweet with a distinct chocolate aroma, a little licorice and some tobacco with a light yeast ester. The flavor has more sweet cherry flavor, some chocolate and a nice lingering bitterness that is quite light. Its medium bodied with the perfect amount of carbonation. This beer kind of caught me off guard, it was certainly not what I thought it was going to to taste like from what the nose gave me. Very delicious and almost seemed like a light sour with some added chocolate notes.
