swoopjones (1092), Buffalo, New York, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle.Blonde ale, big fluffy white head, hightly carbonated, spritzy. Slight tart & sourness. Fruity, light caramel malt sweetness. Got a little better as temp rose but not much Glouglouburp (1915), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 16, 2008 In short: A micro blonde ale imitating a macro blonde ale
How: Bottle 341ml, date unknown but consumed right after purchase.
The look: Clear blonde body with a short-lived white head
In long: Very very light honeyed cereals. A bit citric/acidic but without an associated lemon taste or something, just plain acidity. Light cabbage notes. Aggressive carbonation. Unpleasant acidic finish. Quality-wise this is about on par with the average macro. And they call it the Quebecer Ale. Insulting. I’ll like to insult it back by saying this is faggot beer but that’s not even an insult since it also goes by the alias Pride sold in the Montreal gay village during the Gay Pride week. Shame.
Cartoon_khaki (1110), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2007 Had as Pride Ale:
Clean pale gold with white head. Sweet aroma with light hints of fruit more prevalent in the flavour of the beer. light Bitters medim light body. radiomgb (1730), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jan 17, 2007 Golden in colour, the fizzy white head was gone before the end of the pour, no lacing. The aroma is quite sweet, some glue, apple juice, herbal hops. The flavour was of apples and peaches, floral, soapy, light grains. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a mild lingering bitterness, some chalk. Pretty average, nothing wrong but nothing screaming at me to get another bottle.
